Does BMF TPCH / TPCC Data Generation run as a background task ? -
Description
During the generation time, if you check remotely the status of the BMF ongoing data generation, on Windows XP this remote check (new session) will interrupt the ongoing session running locally on the PC. -
Resolution
Using Remote Desktop should work fine and has been tested and has no issues with BMF.
Please make sure that when you connect to the remote machine you are connecting to the console session and not creating another session, which can be done adding the /admin command option. This way you can see the BMF UI running the data load without interruption.
