BMF's help files note that TPC-C scales 10 users for every scale factor of one. Is there a similar formula for TPC-H or AS3AP testing?
There is no measure for the AS3AP. It only dictates the size of the database.
For the TPC-H, the scale factor represents size for the power test, and the power test is a single user executing all the transactions in a set order. Now for the throughput test, which is a multi-user version of the power test, there is a specification on the minimum number of users that you need for each scale factor. View the attachment for this information. It shows the number of streams (users) per scale factor for the TPC-H throughput test.
We do not supply the throughput test out of the box like the power test, but have a project file for it.
