AV (Anti-Virus) is preventing files in Metalogix’s temp folder to be deleted by Metalogix Backup for SharePoint. (4313255)

Files in Metalogix temporary folder are not being deleted after Metalogix Backup for SharePoint Service Backup has finished, even after backup is present in Backup Set.

The Anti-Virus software is preventing the files from being deleted

The Anti-virus path exclusion needs to be added onto the Metalogix Backup for Sharepoint Servers. This includes any Sharepoint Server that has Metalogix Backup for SharePoint Services installed. 

Metalogix Backup for SharePoint Exclusions;

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp or %temp%

Also exclude service:

%PROGRAMFILES%\Metalogix\SharePointBackupService\PBBackupService.exe

If you have a Search Services installed on the server you also need to exclude

%PROGRAMDATA%\Metalogix
