"Could not export certificate because of: Access denied" warning generated in a backup operation -
Description
Backup operation completes, however, warning messages are generated similar to the following example:Could not export certificate because of: Access denied.This certificate will not be included in the backup set. -
Cause
If the certificates for your SharePoint farm are configured to prohibit certificate export or if certificate export requires a password, SharePoint backup is unable to backup the certificates. -
Resolution
This warning can usually be safely ignored.
