The archive server has run out of hard drive space on the drive where Metalogix Archive Manager is installed
The service for one or more HSM Stores is not running on the archive server
The most common cause for this error message is that the archive server has run out of disk space, and is unable to use the temp directories to rebuild the message from the archive the user is trying to open. Check the hard drive space on the archive server and verify there is plenty of free space.
If there is plenty of free space on the archive server hard drives, the issue is likely caused by a service for one of more HSM Stores not running. To resolve this try the following:
1. Open Services on the archive server
2. Look for a service with a name that starts with PMSStoreSv
3. Start the service.
Note: If you find that this service is failing to start when the archive server restarts it could be that other services are not loading fast enough before this service attempts to start. To try to resolve this, change the Startup Type for the service to Automatic (Delayed Start).
