  "Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Identity.Client'" error is encountered when trying to connect to the Azure server with Active Directory - Password type of authentication

• Description

  Repro steps:

  • Open ApexSQL Doc
  • in the Home tab, click on the Add server button
  • Add SQL Server window will be opened
  • In the Server combo box add the Azure server
  • Select Active Directory – The Password type of Authentication
  • Click on the OK button
  • The mentioned error will appear

  WORKAROUND

  None
