Perform the following steps in order to resolve the issue:
1) Close the ApexSQL Audit GUI if it is still opened
2) Open the Task Manager app, locate the ApexSQL Audit Processor Central task and end it

3) Wait for a half a minute, then launch the ApexSQL Audit again and the connection to the central repository should now be established
