Active Administrator supports the AD Recycle bin and it can restore AD objects with the AD Recycle bin enabled or disabled.
However an important consideration about enabling the AD Recycle bin, is that after the AD Recycle Bin is enabled... you cannot restore objects that were deleted before it was enabled, even if you have them on backups taken by Active Administrator.
This is behavior is a Microsoft limitation and not an Active Administrator limitation... this limitation also affects the AD Recycle Bin.
Enabling the AD Recycle Bin performs a change in the AD schema on how AD handles deleted objects. Since previously deleted objects are not taking into account, that is the reason why objects deleted before the AD Recycle bin cannot be restore after it's enabled.
