An error occurs when restoring an OU whose name contains a forward slash character
If an OU contains a forward slash character (‘/’) in its name the following error will occur during the recovery operation when that OU is restord by Active Administrator:
We were unable to undelete the requested objects: The server is unwilling to process the request.
-- Extended Error --- LDAP Provider : 0000209A: SvcErr: DSID-031A0D6F, problem 5003 (WILL_NOT_PERFORM), data 0
This occurs the because the forward slash character (‘/’) is not encoded within the binding string that identifies the OU.
NOTE: A ‘\’ in the Organization Unit name does NOT cause this error, only a ‘/’ does.
The Active Administrator Active Directory Object restore feature is primarily intended to provide easy recovery of User, Group, Contact, Computer, and Organizational Unit (OU) objects.
Rename the OU without the slash character in it.
