The Active Administrator Audit Agent reads events from the Windows security log and inserts events that match event definitions into the Active Administrator database. Using the table below you can determine what permissions are required for the Active Administrator service agent startup account.

Administrator permissions on the target domain controller
| To read the security log on a Window Server (all platforms) you must have administrator privileges on the server.

Select, Insert, and Update permissions on the Active Administrator database.
| Note: this is only required if you are using Windows Authentication for SQL Authentication.
The Active Administrator service agent performs reads, inserts, and updates data in the Active Administrator database.
