How to: Create a Desktop shortcut that launches your app and uses your settings.
What you need to do is create a PIT file with the experience options that you'd like your users to have. EG, Graphics Acceleration, Clipboard support, Full Screen, Printers etc
Then we can create a shortcut that launches your app with these settings.
Step A, Creating the PIT file
1. On a Windows machine, open PNTSC
2. Set the settings that you'd like to use and then click save as
3. Copy the file to a Linux box
4. In a Linux Terminal run the command
dos2unix -f /home/andrew/linux.pit
(The /home/andrew/linux.pit is the path and file name, obviously this will be different for you)
Step B, Create the shortcut
1. Open a Terminal Window
2. Run the Command
gnome-desktop-item-edit Desktop --create-new
3. Select type "Application in Terminal"
a) Give it a name
b) Give it a command /usr/local/bin/pntsc http://cb:8080 -a "RDSH" -d vWorkspace -f /home/andrew/linux.pit
4. You can click on the Icon in the left hand corner whilst creating the shortcut to pick a different shortcut.
In step 3b, the http://cb:8080 needs to be changed to http://your connection broker name:8080
the "RDSH" needs to be changed to the application name that you wish to launch.
the -d vworkspace needs to be changed to your domain name
the -f /home/andrew/linux.pit needs to be changed to where you stored your pit file.
