If the ADAM/ADLDS server with your project becomes corrupt in the middle of migration with Quest Migration Manager all migration projects will come to a halt. This article describes how you can prevent the migration failure if it happens.
There are two ways of backing up ADAM database:
1. Back up a QMM ADAM Instance.
You can back up an instance of ADAM using the Windows interface, the command line, or using a script or program.

2. Replicate the project to a different ADAM instance. Then you simply fail over to that other replica in case of issues with the original ADAM server. Creating a new ADAM instance is easy with the ADAM install wizard (adamsetup.exe). The wizard is explained in detail in the ADAM Reviewers Guide, you can download it from:
