Mail Source Agent log reports Corrupt Data, which is preventing mailbox switching.
RESOLUTION 1
Best practice would be to repair this corrupt data so that user's mailboxes can be properly synchronized. This repair can be performed by following this article; Solution SOL17958 - Mail Source Agent is logging the error: "Error -2147221221 aeMAPIFolder::Synchronize failed - MAPI_E_CORRUPT_DATA" - https://support.quest.com/migration-manager-for-exchange/kb/17958
RESOLUTION 2
Regular mailbox collection is relying on Microsoft ICS (Incremental Change Synchronization) APIs
This API retrieves single messages from the information store and attempts to read all MAPI properties. As a result any corruption at that level is identified and related errors are reported.
Microsoft also provides different mechanism of mail extraction similar to the one Exmerge is based upon. Quest Remote Mail sync collection is also relying on it. Previous history reveals that less corruption errors are reported at that level. It is a good idea to try processing mailboxes in remote collection if no other workarounds can be considered. Please refer to the product documentation to obtain more information on Remote Mail collections. It is important to understand the following if such mail collections are utilized:
1. Mailbox switch happens immediately after mail sync is completed.
2. While mail data is synchronized mailbox is locked and not available for user login.
RESOLUTION 3
If circumstances do not allow for a proper cleanup, then the corrupt data can be skipped by the mail source agent.
How to skip corrupt email:
1. In Project Manager, select Tools | Options and select the Additional parameters for agent configuration files node.
2. Click Add, to add the following parameter: Name: SkipCorruptedMessages, Value: 1
3. From the drop down list select Quest Mail Source Agent
4. Ok all windows
In order to see Additional parameters for agent configuration files you need to enable it via the Windows Registry. Open Regedit and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Aelita\Migration Manager\CurrentVersion\Exchange Data and create new DWORD key. Name it "ShowAdditionalParameters" and set its value to 1, then restart Migration Manager.
If the console is on a 64-bit system then the registry would be HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Aelita\Migration Manager\CurrentVersion\Exchange Data
