NetSuite DB (Database) is the backend database used by NetSuite, a popular cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. NetSuite itself is an Oracle product, so its database infrastructure is typically built on Oracle's cloud platform and technologies. However, NetSuite abstracts the database layer, meaning users and developers interact with NetSuite's APIs, SuiteScript, SuiteAnalytics, and saved searches rather than directly accessing the underlying database.

While the actual database may be an Oracle DB hosted on Oracle Cloud, NetSuite users don’t manage the database directly; instead, they work through the tools and APIs NetSuite provides.
You cannot connect to NetSuite's backend database directly using the Oracle client or traditional database connection methods. NetSuite operates as a multi-tenant cloud application, which means that users and developers do not have direct access to its underlying Oracle database or SQL interfaces.
For that reason, Toad for Oracle does not support NetSuite DB because it does not support connections using Oracle clients.
