Standby Connection Status Alarm

Problem

Spotlight on Oracle Data Guard has lost contact with one or more instances of the Oracle RAC (Standby connection). Spotlight on Oracle Data Guard will attempt to reconnect.

Note: If Spotlight on Oracle Data Guard looses contact with the Oracle RAC (Standby connection) it raises the Node Status Alarm.

Cause / Solution

  • Network down?
  • Instance down?
  • Lost connection to the server?
