Data Guard Status Alarm

Problem

Spotlight on Oracle Data Guard has lost contact with the Standby connection. Spotlight on Oracle Data Guard will attempt to reconnect.

Note: This alarm is applicable when the Standby connection is an Oracle instance. If the Standby connection is an Oracle RAC see Node Status Alarm and Standby Connection Status Alarm.

Cause / Solution

  • Network down?
  • Instance down?
  • Lost connection to the database?
  • Lost connection to the server?
