The global notification methods include SysOp Email, Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) Traps, Print Report, and Run a Job. For more information about these methods, see Using global notification methods.
You can set up a user notification profile to send email notifications to a NetVault user when an event occurs. For more information, see Setting up user notification profile.
Custom Notification Methods are created using external scripts, and typically used to perform some task when an event occurs in the NetVault Domain. For more information, see Using custom notification methods.
The predefined events in NetVault are organized into different categories or classes:

You can view the event log messages from the View Events page.

In the Navigation pane, click View Events. |

On the View Events page, you can view the following information: |

Date: Date and time when the event was raised |

Class: Event class |
• |
Event: Event type |
• |
Message: Detailed log message or description |

The View Events page loads a maximum of 10,000 records initially. The total number of records fetched is displayed at the lower-right corner of the table. You can click Load more to load the next set of records, if available. Each load action fetches a maximum of 10,000 records. This button is disabled if there are no more records to load. |

To stop or resume live updates, click the Pause or Resume Live Updates button. |
