Veritas Storage Foundation Installations (manual)
To install LiteSpeed on a Veritas Storage Foundation cluster you need to run the install on each node of the cluster (not the virtual node), with all instances active at the time of install, one node at a time.
To install LiteSpeed
- If upgrading from a LiteSpeed version prior to 6.x, please uninstall that version on all nodes of the cluster.
- Run the .msi installer on the node. In the Instance Configuration wizard, alter the Instance(s) Name to be the actual virtual name of the SQL Instance.
- After you make the edits and click Next, you will receive a pop-up error message. Click Yes to ignore this error and continue.
- Repeat Steps 2 and 3 as all SQL Instance(s) are failed over to other passive nodes in the cluster.
NOTE: You can not make adjustments to the SQL Server Name to correct for the error.
