When a stream is activated with an Oracle SID and that SID is later changed, stream reactivation on Shareplex Manager will leave an Orphaned / Inactive instance.
Instances and Streams on Shareplex Manager are uniquely identified by IP Address, Port and Oracle SID.
When a stream is discovered with a specific Oracle SID and that SID is changed, config reactivation on Shareplex Manager will mark the old SID instance as orphaned/inactive. When Shareplex Manager marks an instance inactive, it will not set the flag for the user interface to delete it and will leave an additional instance.
This problem occurs only when a previously discovered Stream has a SID on one or more of its instances changed. This change can be when Shareplex Manager does an auto discovery or it is manually discovered on the same Stream.
Workaround is to delete a Stream from Shareplex Manager before changing the SID and then discover the Stream.
