1. Boot from a Bootable CD or Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE), open a Command Prompt, type regedit, and press Enter.
Note: make sure that you use the correct volume were the operative system is installed. Use diskpart and when you load hive it should be pointing to that volume.
2. Highlight HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE (HKLM) and from the Registry Editor menu select File \ Load Hive...
3. In the Load Hive window browse to C:\Windows\System32\Config, select SYSTEM, and click Open.
4. In the next Load Hive window enter Key Name Restored_HKLM and click OK.
5. Disable Agent drivers
Under Restored_HKLM, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\TEMP\ControlSet001\services
Look for the Rapid Recovery filter drivers, AAFSFLT, AAVDISK, AAVOLFLT, AAVSTOR
Change the ‘start’ value to 4 to disable
6. Clear UpperFilter drivers
Go to HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class
search 1 by 1 for anything that had an UpperFilter that was set for UpperFilters set to AAVolFlt, and blank those out ( there should be two)
7.Reboot
