FAQ on ODM Account Matching

1. Do matching a Distribution Group and a Security Group consume ODM license?
The matching of a Distribution Group and a Security Group Account does not reserve and consume any of ODM Licenses.

2. How do I perform Group discovery from a file?
Please refer to our documentation On Demand Migration  Current – User Guide under account discovery with csv file.

3. How do I perform Group mapping from a file?
Please refer to our documentation On Demand Migration  Current – User Guide under matching accounts with csv file.

4. How do I perform Guest mapping from a file?

Please refer to our documentation On Demand Migration  Current – User Guide under account mapping with csv file.

4.1) Making sure that the guest account is available in the tenant ( both source and target ) as a guest, (NOTE:if the guest user is not exist as a Guest user in the tenant,it would not be able to match , This is not a limitation from ODM , but it is by design from Microsoft to recognize as a guest account), sample screenshot as below.

4.2) Ensure the source guest account has been discovered from the source in ODM. Reference on discover guest account available in this kb here 

4.3) Guest user mapping and normal user mapping steps are the same; for mapping from a file for guest users, the below sample of a CSV file can be used using the external Email address listed in Guest Users in 4.1
