When using the Legacy Password Sync feature of ODM Directory Sync, antivirus and/or cybersecurity endpoint protection software will likely adversely affect the operation of the password sync feature.

The following exclusions will need to be made to allow the password sync feature to work as designed: On the ODM Directory Sync Agent Host: C:\Program Files (x86)\Quest\On Demand Migration Directory Sync Agent\bin\BTPass\ folder
On all DCs, that dirsync agent may work with: C:\Windows\BTPass\ folder with all subfolders and binaries in them
Note: dirsync agent is choosing a DC randomly during the service start from the list of DCs, configured for that environment in ODM AD Dirsync, menu, Environments, select environment, Settings, Domain Controllers.
