DUA error: "Error reading registry data, installation corrupted"

Running Desktop Update Agent and getting an error: "Error reading registry data, installation corrupted"

 

The Pass Phrase was complex. 20+ Character Alpha, Numeric, upper, lower case along with special characters. 
Or passphrase was specified incorrectly.

The pass phrase is missing or incorrect.

Reduce the complexity to a simpler passphrase.

Test Running the Installer via CMD and passing directly the Token and Passphrase with the following line:
msiexec /i ODM_DesktopUpdateAgent.msi TOKEN=*** PASSPHRASE=*** /qb

DUA token is binary. The passphrase is used to encrypt that binary token into a readable string, that can be copy/pasted where needed. During the DUA installation, it'll try to decrypt this string back into the token's binary form, so it can be stored in the registry. If the passphrase does not match the encrypted string, decryption will fail and nothing will be stored in the registry.
