If you have more than one SmartDisk running and want to be able to differentiate them within the logs, then it is worth giving each SmartDisk an identifier.
解决办法
The SmartDisk (SD) host name is auto-generated and making any changes to SD configuration files can render the SD offline afterwards. The only options for providing a name for SD is while adding it to the NVBU server, and it only accepts a machine name, IP address or 'localhost'. In order to solve the problem of having to identify the SDs uniquely, try adding the SDs by the machine name or IP address. Once you have removed and re-added SD in NetVault Device Management successfully, I would advise to check your existing backups to SD in the Target tab, to make sure that the SD connection is in black text, with the new name and not grey. If grey and/or a different name, then the channel has been changed and you would need to modify the job, select the new SD connection, save the Target Set and lastly save the backup job itself. Otherwise the backup will fail, as the backup job is pointing to an old device.
