For devices needing to be updated to Windows 11 22H2 from Windows 10 21H2, the following upgrade path should be followed:
1. Windows 10 Version 21H1 -> Windows 10 version 22H2 via Enablement package
2. Windows 10 Version 22H2 -> Windows 11 version 22H2
Upgrading Windows 10 21H2 to Windows 10 22H2 via Enablement package
Pre-requisites:
Under Security | Windows Feature Updates | Subscriptions: Win10 22H2 Upgrade options must be selected for packages to be available in the WFU catalog.
- Navigate to Security | Windows Feature Updates | Schedules | Choose Action: New (Wizard or Classic).
- Under "Choose Windows Feature Update" select "Feature update to Windows 10 Version 22H2 (for Windows 10 versions 1903 to 21H2)".
- Under Select editions, click on the last option "Feature update to Windows 10 Version 22H2 via enablement package (Applies to Versions 20H2, 21H1 and 21H2).
- Select one of the available actions (Detect, Detect and Stage, Detect and Deploy or Detect, Stage and On-demand Deploy).
- Continue to complete the schedule and save changes.
- Run schedule to have the update detected and later installed on the target devices.
Upgrading Windows 10 22H2 to Windows 11 22H2
Pre-requisites:
Under Security | Windows Feature Updates | Subscriptions: Win11 22H2 Upgrade x64 option must be selected for packages to be available in the WFU catalog.
Before starting the Windows Feature Upgrade process, please make sure the devices to be upgraded meet Windows 11 upgrade requirements.
