Items that may cause this error:
Incorrect file format was attempted to be installed:
- Incorrect certificate type was attempted to be installed. This could be a source file from the certificate provider or other mistaken file that is not the actual security certificate for the KACE appliance. Review the file before attempting to upload and confirm it meets the requirements of the SSL Guidelines (listed below) for the KACE appliance.
- Check the format/type of the file that was provided. If you are requested by your certificate provider to select: "Chain Root Cert File," "Chain Cert File," or "Chain Root and Chain Combo File;" select "Chain Root and Chain Combo File" for download and use.
Incorrect certificate type was attempted to be installed:
- Review the SSL Guidelines (listed below) and information to determine the exact type of certificate that the KACE appliance will need.
- Consult with your security certificate provider that the correct type and format of the certificate was provided.
- Review appliance settings and information (as outlined in the SSL Guidelines below) to ensure that the requested certificate contains the CORRECT matching information that is saved inside of the KACE appliance.
Incorrect "Certificate Key" and/or "Private Key" mismatch type was attempted to be installed

- Using the link/tool above will help resolve incorrect keys or identify the issue that extra characters may have been included with the "copy-paste" options performed. Some "copy-paste" steps unintentionally collect "blank spaces" (that may not be visible) at the beginning or the end of the encrypted certificate. These extra spaces will not be understood when authenticated/compared to what was authorized.
