User tries to install or upgrade Toad for Oracle. During the install/upgrade the user receives an error:
Installation of component QAIT has failed

Installation will now abort.
Conflicts with the Quest Installer and\or conflicts with active 3rd party software running in the background.
Make sure that you have Administration rights on the computer as this is a requirement to install Toad for Oracle. If you do not have admin rights on the machine, please contact your network administrators to perform the installation for you.
WORKAROUNDS:
A. Uninstall the Quest Installer:
1. Shut down all Quest Products.
2. Locate the Quest Installer in the Window's Start Menu.
3. Uninstall all the Quest Products.
4. Uninstall the Quest Installer.
5. Reinstall all the products.
B. Use Windows MSCONFIG to limit the start up items:
1. Click on Start | Run.
2. Type msconfig and click OK.
3. On the General tab, select the Selective Startup radio button.
4. Uncheck Load Startup Items.
5. Click on Apply.
6. Click on Close.
7. Click on Restart to reboot the PC.
8. Once the PC is back up continue installation as normal. (Should install without any further issues).
Note: After installation, go back to MSCONFIG and select Normal Startup and reboot once more.
C. Turn off any anti-virus software running during installation.
If the user tries to install Toad for Oracle Development Suite, the error will look like this:
