One of the requirement of compare repair is that the source and target need to be on the same patch level. The binaries can differ due to different Oracle or OS version on source and target. For example, if the Shareplex version on source is 4.5.9, with Oracle 8i and Solaris 2.8, the target Shareplex version should be 4.5.9, though the OS and Oracle version need not be same as that on source. If this is not the case, patch source and/or target so that they are on the same patch level.
