How to export and import SQL Recall -  SQL History, Personal and Named queries?

You can export your saved SQL and import it back into Toad. Toad exports your history, personal, and named SQL statements from SQL Recall.

To Export Saved SQL

1. Select View | SQL Command Recall | History (F8).
2. Click the Export... icon on the SQL Recall toolbar.

Tip: You may need to expand the SQL Recall pane to see the button.

1. Enter a file name in the File Name field and click Save.

To Import Saved SQL

1. Click Import.. on the SQL Recall toolbar.

2. Select the save SQL export file and click Open.

3. Select the desire mode to Append or Replace the Imported file

This feature was introduced in Toad 11, and consequently you can only import these files with Toad 11 and later versions. It may be possible to copy over the saved sql file from an older version of Toad but there is no capability for appending or importing only one tab (e.g. Named SQL only). Since we only support automatic migration of data from two versions back, this method is not guaranteed to pull everything in: SQL Recall is stored in file SavedSQL.dat and is located in C:\Users\\Appdata\Roaming\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\XX.x\User Files (where XX.x is the Toad version). This can be copied to the same location in the destination PC but Toad must be closed to do this.
