As a prerequisite, Mobile Device Access need to be globally enabled in order on the appliance. This can be done by going to:
Settings | General Settings on a Non-ORG box and System | Settings | General Settings on an ORG-enabled box:
To enable KACE GO (Mobile Device Access) for a single user:
- Log in to the admin console
- Go to Settings | Users
- Type the username in the Search List and click on the result to load the profile or click a user from the list.
- Once the page loads, scroll down to the Assign to Label:
- Below it you will find the Mobile Device Access checkbox.
- Click the checkbox to enable it.
- Click on Save when done.
- Download the iOS or Android app from their corresponding app stores.
- Log in
To enable KACE GO (Mobile Device Access) for several users:
- Log in to the admin console
- Go to Settings | Users
- Check the box right next to the Name column.
- As an alternative, you can select specific users by doing and Advanced Search.
- Click on the Advanced Search button.
- Specify a query to search for (Eg.: Labels = Finance).
- Click Search.
- Click on the checkbox right next to Name to select all the results.
- Proceed to step 4 below.
- Click on Choose Action.
- Select Mobile Device Access.
- Select Enable.
- The SMA will refresh and all the selected changes will be applied.
- Have the users download the iOS or Android app from their corresponding app stores.
- Log in
