While attempting to restore messages from a registered Public Folder to pst file the following error may be displayed:
"An error occurred while processing the message with subject "<subject message here>" from "<Folder path here>". Details: Undefined MAPI error. Detailed description is not available.
Would you like to skip this messsage and continue?"
This is due to a defect when restoring distribution list messages (PR_MESSAGE_CLASS = IPM.DistList) into .pst
STATUS
Defect TF00147693 has been raised for this issue. Waiting fix in a future release of Recovery Manager for Exchange
WORKAROUNDS
Workaround 1: Export these messages into Msg files and view these messages from msg file
Workaround 2: Copy messages into online mailbox and restore to pst from online mailbox.
