解决办法
Restore from “My Repositories”
Locate the backup that you wish to restore in your repository.
Right-Click on that backup and select Restore.
On the Third screen, in the “Restore As…” box type TEMP and select a host where you want to restore the VM. **Note – Make sure to select the same datastore that you have the VM you wish to attach the restored HDD.
Uncheck “Force Overwrite” and “Force Power On”.
At the end, Check the box to “Run the Job after Finish is clicked”
After the restore is complete, go to the vSphere client and make sure the VM you want to attach the restore HDD is powered off.
Right –click the TEMP Vm and select “Edit settings”, select the Hard disk that was restored, and press “remove”. **IMPORTANT be sure to only select “Remove from virtual machine” as we need to use this file.
Open the Datastore browser for the TEMP VM, navigate to the TEMP VM folder and cut and paste the TEMP.vmdk to the directory of the VM that needs this new Hard disk.
Edit the settings on the VM that needs the new disk, select the HDD that you wish to replace taking note of the Virtual Device Node, and press “Remove”. Select the “Remove from virtual machine and delete files from disk” if you do not need that disk anymore.
Adding the new disk
Press “add…”
Select “Hard Disk”
Pick “Use an existing virtual disk”
Browse for the restored hard disk.
Select the TEMP.vmdk file and press “Ok”
Make sure the “Virtual Device Node” is the same as the original you took note of earlier.
Click “Finish”
Press “OK” and power on the VM.
Once the machine is up you can right click on the TEMP VM and select ‘Delete from Disk”
