After recovery from an online backup of a Windows 2003 or 2003 R2 VM hosted on a CSV logical unit number (LUN), a subsequent online backup of the VM might fail and a prompt to run the Chkdsk utility might appear inside the VM guest. If the VM was located on a non-CSV LUN and if the VM was in a powered-off state during the original backup, this issue does not occur.

STATUS:
This is a product defect. Resolved in a future version of HyperV Plugin.
WORKAROUND:
If the VM was located on a non-CSV LUN and if the VM was in a powered-off state during the original backup, this issue does not occur.
