Restoring a Deleted AD Object Using SysInternals Adrestore

Should you inadvertently delete one or more AD objects, you can restore them using SysInternals Adrestore rather than performing a complete Domain Controller (DC) restore.

To resolve this issue, complete the following steps.
Download adrestore.exe, a command line from Sysinternals, here.
Unpack downloaded archive and run adrestore.exe under administrator -> press ‘I agree’ in the opened dialog box.
On the DC, locate to folder with file adrestore.exe and type adrestore >c:\ADobjects.txt.
A list of the deleted AD objects will generate. You should create a text file in which you can place this list, as it may be lengthy.
Once you identify the AD objects you wish to restore, type adrestore –r <object_name>.
