KACE Boot Environments, or KBEs, are Pre-Boot environments used to access the KACE Systems Deployment Appliance (KSDA) and perform several actions like capturing images or deploying images.

KBEs, need key drivers to have access to endpoint resources. In most cases, only network and storage drivers will be needed. Adding any additional drivers might make the KBE unnecessarily big and might create boot issues.

VMWare driver can be found in the attachments section of this KB. Note: these drivers will be manually updated by us when newer versions become available.
In some special cases, PE drivers provided by OEMs might not work. As an alternative KACE also offer the option to capture drivers directly from devices. This can be done with the Driver Feed Builder. Download Driver Feed Builder 3.0.0.0
