Unknown Error is encountered during import of Oracle trace on a Chinese version Windows. Trace file contains long date format. Chinese (PRC) is selected as the preferences for Standards and formats in theWindows Regional and Language Options.
Benchmark Factory translates the date string in the trace file into PRC format date string which will be shown in Benchmark Factory scenario wizard page. The Unknown Error occurs when Benchmark Factory attempts to translate the PRC format date string to its own wizard data format.
WORKAROUND :
1. Temporary change the Standards and formats in Windows Regional and Language Options to English.
2. Import the trace file using Benchmark Factory.
3. Revert the language settings after trace has been imported successfully.
STATUS:
Waiting for fix in future release of Benchmark Factory.
