When choosing to restore form Manifest File and a user name and password was enter correctly after browsing to the backup file and then clicking on Add you get the red exclamation marks to check the user name and password.
Close the vRanger application and Shut down (Stop) the vRanger Services in any order.
***Note: Stopping the vRanger Services will kill any jobs running and might leave open snapshot on the VMs being backed up at the time. To avoid this you can cancel any jobs that are running to remove any open snapshots before restarting the Services.
Start the services in the following order:
Start the vRanger application and Restore from Manifest File
Above is a possible solution, but this is now fixed in 5.4. If the above does not work, upgrade to 5.4 and re-attempt to restore from manifest.
Credentials should now be accepted.
