Job was failing because snapshot took a very long time when requested through in vRanger.
If you run a snapshot in vCenter it ran fast as long as you uncheck memory. memory snaps took +10 minutes.

In this case, VMware said to just create snapshots without memory, but vRanger can't do that.
The vm in question was a Windows 2003 r2 sp2 server with 5 gig of ram allocated.

After we reconfigured the VM guest memory to 4098, and rebooted it, the snapshots called by vRanger ran fine.
