Description
This document outlines the compatibility between vRanger 7.7.1 and the latest VMware 6.7 update 2 release. -
Cause
The latest VMware 6.7 Update 2 patch introduces Virtual Hardware Version 15 which adds support for creating virtual machines with up to 256 virtual CPUs. You can find more information about this release on the VMware website.

Resolution
Currently backup and restore are not affected by the VMware 6.7U2 update. However, replication jobs will fail if the virtual machine has been upgraded to virtual hardware version 15. The replication job wizard will not show an available host for replication due to this limitation.
This has been resolved in the vRanger 7.8 release. You can find the installer at the product download page.
