If you have low performance or througput when using VAs and VMware 5.5 or later, you may:
- Increase the CPU count of the VAs.
- Increase the memory count of the VAs.
- Make sure and use Thick Provisioned vmdk(s) for the VA's target scratch disk when replicating.
- Make sure and use VMXnet3 NIC cards on the VAs.
NOTE: be aware to reboot your VAs if changing the hardware version and, if the hardware version is upgraded to version 10, those machines will have to be managed using the WebClient VMware interface.
To verify NIC type and speed on your VA, login into your VA and run the folowing command:
