Backup fails on a 2008 R2 with error "2800 - filter file contains wrong number of blocks" with Quiescing and ABM enabled. The VM has multiple disk with 2 of the disks almost named the same, but one of the disk has a Capital in the name.
Example:
disk 1 = [Datastore1] win2k8/win2K8-000002.vmdk <---- Has a Capiltal K in the name.
disk 2 = [Datastore1] win2k8/win2k8-000002.vmdk <---- Has a Lower k in the name
disk 3 = [Datastore1] win2k8/win2k8_1-000002.vmdk
Disk 1 and 2 have the same name, but one has a Capital K in it.
disk 1 = [Datastore1] win2k8/win2K8-000002.vmdk
disk 2 = [Datastore1] win2k8/win2k8-000002.vmdk
disk 3 = [Datastore1] win2k8/win2k8_1-000002.vmdk
The current work around's are:
1) Disable both ABM and Quiescing
2) Rename the disk and remove the Capital letter
This is currently under investigation with R&D.
