Title
Cannot take a memory snapshot, since the virtual machine is configured with independent disks. -
Description
When performing tasks with vRanger 6.0.1 you may recieve the following error when backing up vSphere 5.1 VM's with RDMs attached or with vSphere 5.1 VM's with independent disks:
"Cannot take a memory snapshot, since the virtual machine is configured with independent disks."
or
"Error Message: Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

Cause
Due to a change in the expected response from vAPI calls, there has been a change in the snapshot call that is made to the vSphere 5.1 members. -
Resolution
At this time it is recommended to use vRanger 6.0 when performing backup/replication tasks with vSphere 5.1 VM's.
