How can a clean Spotlight on Exchange v5.4 Database be installed on SQL Server or SQL Cluster Ser (4344165)

This article describes how to install clean Spotlight on Exchange (SOE) v5.4 Database on SQL Server or SQL Cluster Server.

Instructions to install Spotlight on Exchange 5.4 database on a clustered SQL 2005 Server:

The following is a list of scripts that the SOE 5.4 installer calls when creating the database. These scripts can be run manually in SQL Server Enterprise Manager in the below order to create the SOE database. Run the attached SQL query files using SQL Query Analyzer in the following order:

1. DatabaseCreation.sql
2. Upgrade.sql
3. AddSustainedColumnCount.sql
4. PausedRequestsTable.sql
5. GenericDatabaseSchema.sql
6. SpotlightOnExchangeObjects.sql
7. AddForwardAlertToMOMColumnToGDTS.sql
8. RoundTripMessageDelivery.sql
9. DataRetentionSettings.sql
10. WebReportScript.sql

Run the install for Spotlight on Exchange, selecting all features, except the database (as it was manually installed already). The installer will ask for the database location, specify the SQL Cluster Host Name.
