Toad Data Point 6.2.3 - User Guide

Google Analytics Date Ranges

Each Google Analytics query requires a date range. In addition to using specific dates to define a range, Toad provides some relative date ranges for you to use.

Date Ranges are selected from the Date Range drop-down list when building a multi-dimensional grid to view your Google Analytics data in the Database Explorer (Viewer).

Important Note: Date ranges are evaluated based on the time zone specified for the Google Analytics view (profile) included in the query, not the time zone for the Toad Data Point client or the Intelligence Central server. The time zone for a Google Analytics view is specified in its View Settings in Google.

Toad provides the following special relative date ranges to use in a Google Analytics query.

Date Range Name Start Date End Date
Current Week The most recent Sunday Today
Current Month The first day of the current month Today
Current Quarter The first day of the current quarter Today
Current Year The first day of the current year Today
Last Week The Sunday prior to the most recent Sunday The most recent Saturday
Last Month The first day of the previous month The last day of the previous month
Last Quarter The first day of the previous quarter The last day of the previous quarter
Last Year The first day of the previous year The last day of the previous year

In addition to the special date ranges listed above, you can select one the following relative date ranges provided for convenience.

Date Range Name Description
Today Current day
Yesterday Previous day
Last 7 days The last 7 days including current day
Last 15 days The last 15 days including current day
Last 30 days The last 30 days including current day

Note: The relative dates listed above apply only when using the Gregorian calendar (the default setting) for date ranges. If you use another calendar, the relative ranges are converted to fixed ranges.
