The Agent Requests component tracks the number of requests for an agent to perform work by an application. A database agent performs work on behalf of a single application process. If an agent is not currently working, it resides in the agent pool and is considered idle, awaiting an assignment.
In a multiple-partition database environment, work is assigned to a subagent that performs the requested task for the application.
None
At each refresh, Spotlight captures the number of requests that applications have made to available agents, either from the agent pool or idle associated agents, currently residing in the instance. An idle associated agent is sought only when the limit specified by the MAXAGENTS database manager configuration parameter has been reached. If an idle associated agent is requested, the appropriated agent is said to be stolen.
Click the Agent Requests component to open the Database Manager Summary drilldown. At the instance level, this drilldown provides details about all the active databases and partitions in the DB2 instance and helps you pinpoint problem activity.
