Implemented Optimals Page

This page (if it appears) displays a list of all previously implemented values of SPIN_COUNT. You can choose to restore SPIN_COUNT to one of those values. The page appears when at least one optimization has occurred. It contains a list of parameters returned by the optimization process.

To open the Implemented Optimals Page

  1. Select the Spotlight on Oracle connection in the Spotlight Browser.
  2. Click Tuning | Latch Page | Implemented Optimals.

Implemented Optimals Page

Column Description

Start time

The start date/time of the specified latch tuning process.

End time

The end date/time of the specified latch tuning process.

Optimal spin count

The suggested optimal spin count under the proposed workload pattern.

Executes/sec

The execution rate for the spin count under the workload pattern.

Latch gets/sec

The latch get rate for the spin count under the workload pattern.

The percentage of available time that the CPU is busy (in both user mode and kernel modes) for the spin count under the workload pattern.

CPU busy %

Latch spin gets/sec

The latch spin get rate for the spin count under the workload pattern.

Latch free wait time (ms/sec)

The latch free wait time for the spin count under the workload pattern.

Note

Comments you may have added on the workload or environment. Use these comments to explain how the spin count was optimized, and the purpose for that optimization.
