Estimated Shared Pool Size Alarm

The Shared Pool is an area of the SGA that stores parsed SQL statements, data dictionary information, and some session information. The Shared Pool reduces parse overhead by caching frequently executed SQL statements.

This alarm occurs when the Shared Pool is set too small. A possible cause is the use of literals rather than bind variables in SQL statements. You can also increase the size of the Shared Pool.
