The Active Agents graph on the Database Manager Summary drilldown Agent Activity tab provides global statistics about current agent activity including statistics for agents from the agent pool, dynamically created agents, and agents stolen from other applications to work for Spotlight.
At each refresh, Spotlight captures statistics about the agents currently connected to databases and partitions within the instance.
The Active Agents graph contains the following series:
Pool—Plots the total number of agents working for an application including those in the agent pool.
Empty pool—Plots the number of agents created dynamically because the agent pool was empty.
Stolen—Plots the number idle agents associated with other applications that were stolen to work on this Spotlight application.
Note: Hover the cursor over the series of interest to view the current value.
The Statistics tab lists performance statistics for events that have occurred in the selected database. Each row in the list identifies a specific event and provides counts for the event based on these time measurements.
Click the Application connections component to open the Client Applications Analysis drilldown. This drilldown provides details about the applications currently running on the instance and helps you pinpoint problem activity.
