Reviewing Bandwidth Utilization and Cost-related Results

The Estimated Bandwidth Usage Cost section allows viewing the daily bandwidth usage cost over the last several days, as defined in the selected time range, and determining the suitability of the business edition in use, compared with the current scope of bandwidth usage.


	IMPORTANT: While Azure is always set to work by GMT time zone, the data flow details are updated by Foglight—namely, on-premise—time zone, and are displayed two hours after the actual operation took place. For example: if the on-premise time zone is GMT+7, and the current on-premise hour is 1 PM, the data flows appearing on the screen represent flows that took place on 11 AM.

Reviewing the Estimated Changes of Bandwidth Usage Cost

The Estimated Cost chart allows viewing the variations, if any, of the daily bandwidth usage cost between the days specified in the selected time range. The cost can be compared with the actually used bandwidth size, which is displays in the Used Bandwidth Size chart.

Reviewing the bandwidth usage cost calculation

The Bandwidth Usage Cost Calculation table displays a breakdown of the cost calculation of the data flows for the number of days specified in the selected time range, for which data is available, via the following columns:

The data traffic direction:

•

Internal-Incoming—data arriving to the database from other Azure-based application

•

Internal-Outgoing—data sent from the database to other Azure-based application

•

External-Incoming—data arriving to the database from on-premise applications

•

Internal-Outgoing—data sent from the database to on-premise applications

The total size of the traffic flowing in the specified direction within the specified time range.

The estimated price of the traffic flowing in the specified direction within the specified time range.

Viewing User Metrics

The User-defined drilldown displays user-defined collections, plotted over the specified time range.
