About Quest Enterprise Reporter 3.6

Enterprise Reporter provides a unified solution for data discovery and report generation. Using the Enterprise Reporter Configuration Manager, administrators can easily configure and deploy discovery jobs to collect and store data. Once the data has been collected, the Report Manager allows users to produce reports that help organizations ensure they comply with industry regulations and standards, internal security policies, monitor hardware and software requirements, and many other reporting requirements.

Enterprise Reporter 3.6 is a minor release, with enhanced features and functionality.

New features

New features in Enterprise Reporter 3.6:

Discovery Enhancements
•
Azure Resource and OneDrive discoveries now support MFA-based discovery credentials. It is recommended to re-authenticate any accounts used for these discoveries after upgrading.
•
New permissions (Organization.Read.All - Delegate Permission, Policy.Read.All - Delegate Permission) are available for the Quest Enterprise Reporter Entra ID application. After upgrading, ensure the tenant application is reconfigured and consent is granted for the new permissions.
•
When using MFA-based discovery credentials, extended attributes related to password policies in Entra ID can now be collected. These attributes are retrieved through a new endpoint. Note that some previously available attributes have been deprecated. Refer to Deprecated features for details.
•
It is strongly recommended to re-authenticate accounts used for Microsoft Entra and Microsoft 365 discoveries following the upgrade.

Updates to the report library

A new report library is now available for Enterprise Reporter Scheduled Reports.
